Raye is the consummate professional. From the very first interaction to the last farewell, we never felt anything but confidence that our home and dog would be in safe hands
Jeff - Point Vernon QLD March 2022'Raye was awesome! We are convinced Kevin (our dog) is missing her. Our home was well looked after, spotless and Kevin had best care.'
Helen - Maudsland Qld'We cannot recommend Raye enough! She was a delight to deal with from the moment we initiated contact, and kept us updated with how Henry (our dog) was getting on on a regular basis'

Why house sitting suits meI adapt easily to new surroundings. I enjoy being in a neighbourhood and living ‘like a local’. I get enormous satisfaction knowing I am helping people. I want you to be able to go on holidays and relax. The house sitting lifestyle suits me perfectly. If you would like to know anything more about why I might be the house sitter for you, just ask me.
About me
I have been a professional, international, full time house sitter, since 2017. Before I sold my own house, I did a number of house swaps in Australia, Canada and New Zealand. I know the feeling of leaving your home, garden and loved pets in the care of a stranger. I take house sitting responsibilities very seriously. I hope you will be able to relax, knowing I will look after your property and pets with great care and commitment. I always keep in regular contact with home owners while you are away. I like to send photos so you can enjoy your holidays, knowing that your animals are being well looked after.
I love house sitting. It is the perfect lifestyle for me because I like to travel but I also enjoy staying home. I am a ‘home body’. Because I house sit full time, I have lots of experience with a variety of pets in many different settings. Animals seem to relate well to me. I have house sat in Australia, Wales, England, Thailand and Vietnam and I have met some wonderful and interesting home owners. Many home owners ask me to house sit again for them.
I am lucky enough to enjoy excellent health and I like to keep reasonably fit.

Around homeI am very happy with my own company and I enjoy sharing my time with your pets. I keep in contact with family and friends via the internet. I enjoy reading, cooking, looking after plants and animals, daily walks and exploring new environments.
DrivingI have a clean, Australian driver’s licence for manual cars. I’ve owned a 24 foot motorhome which I drove around Australia for 10.5 years. I’ve driven in the UK and Thailand.
Interaction with petsHouse sitting gives me the opportunity to love many animals. In the years I have been house sitting full time, I’ve looked after dogs of all sizes, cats of all colours, horses, wild birds and chickens. I love animals and they respond well to my care. I give them lots of attention.
My backgroundI was raised on a sheep farm in Queensland, Australia. As well as sheep, we had a variety of farm animals (cattle, horses, sheep dogs, chickens) and house hold pets (cats). Over the years we also raised a couple of kangaroos. These were released back into the wild, once they became self sufficient.
I have lived and worked in country towns and cities. I have owned houses in Brisbane, Cairns and Townsville (all in Queensland). As a home owner, I had a Labrador/Great Dane cross dog; Burmese and British Blue cats. I always had a nice garden.
I was a primary school teacher for all of my working life. I taught in a variety of schools and settings in Queensland. I also taught in International Schools in Indonesia, Tokyo and Singapore. Since I retired, I have volunteered at a village school in Cambodia, twice.
